Sexy Lingerie in Montreal – MC loves globLove !

Liana Artinian is the fashion mastermind behind sexy Montreal lingerie line globLove. Her collection brings to mind freshness, confidence and sexy. I just love women that are well put together, friendly, intelligent and beautiful. This is what Liana is all about a bougie entrepreneur we all want to be friends with. Her Armenian charm, determination and generosity truly  inspires  me. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am to blog and meet creative individuals such as Liana. Here’s her take on fashion, life and style.

Fashion

Marjorie: When did the love for fashion and fancy lingerie started ?

Liana: At quite a young age…  My mom was a huge influence. As for my love of lingerie, she’s always been the image of  elegance and feminity in my eyes.

Marjorie: Why choosing to not have the usual padding cups and pushup bras in your collection?

Liana: What I design is tailored to my own tastes.  At the moment I’m enjoying light, airy and feminine pieces that are at the same time comfortable. I wanted to create a collection that made me feel sensual and at the same time  feel like myself.  A collection where I didn’t have to compromise elegance and style for the sake of comfort.

M: What should we expect from globLove next season ?

L: Lots of lace and mesh, more bralettes and panties..and a beautiful fall/winter color palette with a very vintage feel to it. I’m in love with this year’s dusty plums and tourmalines.  Ohhh..and some very sultry bodysuits.

Life

M: Who inspired you to build your own  lingerie business in Montreal?

L: I draw inspiration from different people depending on the moment.   I like to believe you learn something from everyone you come across over the years.  My main source of inspiration to build globLove are my family and friends, they amaze me with their constant love, support and positive energy.

M: What is the ultimate advice you would give to a woman wanted to become an entrepreneur ?

L: Passion is key.  It’s the fuel that keeps everything else moving.  Also, learning to listen to your intuition, it serves in work as well as in life.  I think everything else comes naturally once you have those two things.

M: What is the quote that keeps you motivated ?

L: I am inspired by different authors and  thinkers on different levels…mainly Anais Nin, Henri David Thoreau,  and a few others…but a close friend recently said to me « Stand in your vulnerability to leave room for possibility » and it really spoke to me.  As women we tend to see our vulnerabilities as weakness, when often  it can be our greatest strength.

Style

M: globLove is for what kind of lady ?

L: The globLove woman is sensual without being overtly provocative.  She is feminine, playful, elegant, open-hearted and ever-exploring. She can embrace her softness and feminity without letting go of her individuality. Last but not least, she is  aware and involved on a social level.   I think it’s important that as women we  do our part to help our peers in less fortunate parts of the globe, as per globLove’s association to FINCA.

M: Describe your personal sense of style ?

L: I’m a bit of a style chameleon depending on how I feel that day.  I don’t really put too much thought into it, I prefer to go with my moods. In general I’m drawn to simplicity,definetly from the « less is more » school of thought.  If I had to define it I’d say a mix of classic,  boho and a touch of edginess.  Style and comfort go hand-in-hand for me.

M: What does living life in style mean to you ?

L: Living on your own terms, making your own rules and then breaking them if you feel like it.

M: I will never leave my house without …

L: My ipod…oh and my yoga mat =)
